Book Club. For kids and the love of reading.

Connecting students to authors and books.

Since 2022, the First Bank Book Club has been helping to boost literacy rates in the Carolinas. We’re bringing writers of award-winning children’s books to public elementary schools and after-school programs for author days featuring fun and discussions. The school library, as well as each child in the hosting grade, will receive a copy of the book.

Want to get involved in Book Club?
If you’re an educator or nonprofit in North or South Carolina, you can join in the fun.

Award-Winning Authors

In the 2022-2023 school year, we brought some of the best-selling authors to schools to make an impact on young readers. Students participated in Q&A sessions and took home a copy of each author’s book.
