Outsmart the Fraud Wolf Sweepstakes – Official Rules
NO PURCHASE OR TRANSACTION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE OR TRANSACTION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the “Outsmart the Fraud Wolf Sweepstakes” (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal U.S. residents of North Carolina and South Carolina; who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees and contractors of First Bank (“Sponsor”) and each of its respective affiliated companies, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, and other agents, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with such employees or contractors, are not eligible to enter or to win. Individuals who previously won a prize from Sponsor in any contest or sweepstakes during the previous two-year period (730 days) are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes.
2. How To Enter. The Sweepstakes begins at 9 am (E.T.) on January 5, 2026 and ends at 5 pm (E.T.) on March 6, 2026 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
There are two ways to enter:
Enter by filling out the form on the Sweepstakes landing page (www.localfirstbank.com/fraud-resources). Only one entry per person is allowed. Entries must be received by 5 pm (E.T.) on March 6, 2026. Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries.
Or
To enter by mail: handprint your full name, address (no PO boxes), contact phone, email address on a 3” x 5” card, and separately mail in a first-class sufficiently U.S. stamped envelope to First Bank – Outsmart the Fraud Wolf, c/o Marketing 402 East Williams Street, Apex, North Carolina, 27502. Mail-in request must be received no later than March 6, 2026. Limit one (1) mail-in request per person.
All entries become property of Sponsor, and none will be returned. Entries must be complete, compliant, submitted via the method of entry communicated herein, and received by Sponsor within the time stated. Incomplete, ineligible, or non-compliant entries are void. Entries submitted via any other entry method will not be accepted.
3. Winner Selection. One winner will be randomly selected for the grand prize, and four winners will be randomly selected for the secondary prize in a random drawing from all eligible entries the week of March 9, 2026 or no more than 30 days after the Sweepstakes close date.
4. Prizes and Odds. This Sweepstakes will have five total winners, one for the Grand Prize, and four receiving the secondary prizes. The Grand Prize of four tickets to the Carolina Hurricanes hockey game on March 29, 2026 is equal to and has a retail value of approximately $760. Each of the Secondary Prizes of four tickets to the North Carolina Zoo and Botanical Gardens is equal to and has a retail value of approximately $80. The winners selected will receive their prizes only after verification of identity and confirmation of eligibility. No substitution, transfer or assignment of the prize will be permitted. Any applicable taxes due are the responsibility of the recipient. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
5. Winner Notification and Acceptance. The winners will be notified the week of March 9, 2026 by email or by phone as needed. The winners must respond to Sponsor’s notification within 48 hours after notification. Failure to respond to Sponsor’s notification may result in disqualification, and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible entries. The Prizes will be available within a week of the Sweepstakes closing. The winners and Frist Bank will coordinate a time of prize pickup, and a picture with local branch team is optional should contestant wish to participate. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prize. Failure to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may result in a winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of their interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner. Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner’s consent to the publication of their name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose for the Sponsor, without limitation on the Internet or for further compensation.
6. Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Sweepstakes is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor that corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prize based on the entries received before the termination date. Sponsors will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries, or for failure to receive entries. By participating in this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to fully release, forever discharge and hold harmless Sponsor from and against all claims, costs, liabilities, losses, injuries and damages arising out of the Sweepstakes, including, but not limited to, any claims for personal injury, death or damage to or loss of property or any other harm arising out of entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes, the receipt, use or misuse of any prize, or any travel or activity that is related to the Sweepstakes or any prize.
7. PRIVACY POLICY. For information about how the Sponsor uses personal information collected in connection with this Promotion, please see its privacy policy, located at https://localfirstbank.com/online-privacy-and-fraud/. By entering this Promotion, each Entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with entry for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes, prize award and fulfillment, and in accordance with its privacy policy.
8. Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
9. Sponsor and Winners List. The “Outsmart the Fraud Wolf Sweepstakes ” is sponsored by First Bank. The decisions of Sponsor regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Sweepstakes shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with the Carolina Hurricanes or the North Carolina Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
