Mortgage Application Checklist
Gather what you need to start your application.
Your first step is to collect the following routine information that will be needed in the application process.
Personal Information

A photo ID and proof of Social Security Number

Evidence of child support received (if shown on your application)

Any legal documents such as divorce decrees, property settlements, etc.

VA loan applicants need Form DD-214 (discharge papers)
Financial Information

Pay stubs for the most recent 30 days

Complete bank and investment account statements from the past 2 months

Most recent 2 years of federal tax returns: all schedules, KIs, etc. Also include all W2s and 1099s

Copies of tax bills, insurance declaration pages and mortgage statements for all properties owned
