In addition to his years in SBA business development, David has a significant background in credit administration, playing key roles with prior employers in credit approvals, authoring credit policy, managing regulatory exams, and navigating bank mergers and acquisitions. David also has an extensive experience in commercial finance including commercial real estate, business acquisitions, partner buyouts, balance sheet reconciliation, franchise, and asset‑based lending, among others.

Prior to joining the team at First Bank, David was a business development officer for the small business lending division of a regional bank, where he served clients nationwide. David’s diverse career and strong financial background, coupled with his passion for small businesses, have proven to be instrumental in helping his clients achieve financial success.

David holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
