T. Scott Lewis has been in financial services for more than 30 years and has considerable experience in traditional/conventional commercial lending and commercial government program lending. He started his career as a commercial lender for a nationwide bank in 1990, and later served as commercial lender and City Executive for a community bank in Eastern North Carolina where he became one of the state’s leading SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 lenders. Scott joined First Bank’s SBA group in 2021, bringing his extensive experience in the USDA’s Business & Industry and Community Facilities Programs to the team.
Having underwritten, approved, processed, closed, and serviced SBA and USDA loans for more than 10 years, Scott’s commercial and government lending background makes him an expert in crafting practical, yet optimal solutions to help small business owners achieve their goals.
